Happy Father's Day!

I love my dad. I really do. I wish I had a picture of him and I together, so I could look at it right now. He is what I like to call a "tough but tender".
You know who else I love? This man:
It's his first semi-father's day and I couldn't be more proud. Devin just passed all his finals! That's right-- my boyfriend can read y'all! Don't you see he wears glasses? Do you think they just give those away?
Exciting stuff is in the works, folks: the boy is graduating, today was my last day of work (!), we're moving back to Oakland next Friday, and our goodbye party/baby shower was yesterday. I can't wait to see pictures of the party. Believe me when I say, I worked my behind off for that party (I got a nasty cold on Friday because of the stress, and hurt my back pretty bad because I enjoy cliches). Pregnant ladies are ill advised to throw their own showers, but in the end, it was all worth it. I really don't like saying that many goodbyes. I do however, enjoy watching Junior with a bunch of my pals. That's a twisted movie, that Junior.

And Sierra brought her new puppy, Garth!

It was sensational.

The Cutest Cute I Ever Did Cute

Oh my gerrsh, look where I got my hair done yesterday:

It's called the Holiday Hair Cart! Isn't that the best idea? Not only was there enough pink for my taste, but the hairdresser was really easy to talk too. Yay!
May I just say, I do not like getting my hair done. Excessive small talk and prolonged waiting. I usually go to the beauty school because its $4(!), and my girl Van doesn't speak English and cuts hair fast. But I'm glad I made the exception this time. Unfortunately I'm moving on Thursday, so it was a one time deal, but Holiday comes highly recommended!

Can't Get Enough Of: The Shirelles, "Doomsday"

I am a sucker for cheerful melodies with somber lyrics. An excellent example would be "Band Of Gold", which is an all-time favorite. "Doomsday" scores points for being SO morbid! God, I love The Shirelles!

What Up, World?!

I didn't think I would be the type of girl to sit down and write my own blog. Mostly because I was content with the life of snooping other people's happy memories, photos, and life stories. But today is a monumental day--well, its the day after a monumental day, as I am a total internet n00b and blogger put me in my place yesterday--I am going to start writing for myself.
